Police would like to thank the public for their assistance following the recovery of a boy’s Cochlear implant that was stolen on January 27.
Police investigations, alongside information provided to Crime Stoppers, have resulted in a person handing the Cochlear implant into the Redcliffe Police Station on January 30.
An 18-year-old Deception Bay man has been charged with one count of stealing over the incident and will appear before the Redcliffe Magistrates Court on February 21.
The implant was in a bag allegedly stolen from Mooloolaba Beach at 4.30pm on January 27, while the boy and his family and friends were swimming.
Police investigations are continuing.
