Missing man, Bribie Island

Updated: Around 2.30pm, police located the 88-year-old safe and well in the local area. He has been taken to the Caboolture Hospital as a precaution.

Police would like to thank members of the SES for their assistance in locating the man.

Police and SES are currently searching for an 88-year-old man who is missing from Sylvan Beach on Bribie Island.

George Price was last seen at his home in Eucalypt Drive around 10pm last night. He was having trouble sleeping and it is believed that he went for a walk but has failed to return home.

His family contacted police this morning when they were unable to locate him.

Police have conducted a number of checks and are searching for the 88-year-old man.

Police hold concerns for the man’s health and safety as he requires medication which he would not have in his possession.

Mr Price is believed to be wearing only mens short style pajama’s and no shoes.

He is described as being 179cm tall, slim build with grey balding hair and he has a medical patch on his nose.

Police hold concerns for the wellbeing of Mr Price and are asking anyone who may have seen a man of this description to contact local police or CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
