Suspicious Behaviour - Morayfield

1997 starwagon driver side
Detectives from Caboolture are investigating a report of a man acting suspiciously towards a child at Morayfield.

It is believed that a 10-year-old boy was approached by a man driving a van in Dicarlo Drive, Morayfield on Wednesday, April 13 around 6pm.

The man has stopped the van and started to run towards the boy. The boy ran away, hiding in bushes before running home. The man then appears to have driven off. The boy wasn’t injured or assaulted.

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate the van described as being a Mitsubishi star wagon 1997 model, maroon with black tinted windows (similar to the one pictured however the sliding door was on driver’s side).

The van had two flags on the top of the antenna - an Australian flag and a second flag described as black with a silver fern design. The number plate is described as blue in colour with one of the numbers a ‘9’.

The man is described as being taller than 190cm, aged approximately 27, with a tanned complexion and black hair. He had an earring in his right ear and was wearing a black leather jacket with the sleeves cut off at the elbows, maroon knee-length shorts, white socks and black boots.

It is believed that may also have been a woman in the van at the time.
