Sewer main upgrade at Burpengary

In order to protect the environment by preventing sewage spills, and to cater for the needs of the growing community, Unitywater will be upgrading the sewer network in the Burpengary area.

This scheduled works program involves the replacement of a section of sewer rising main in the council reserve between Pitt Road and Hilton Court. The replacement sewer rising main offers improved capacity and helps safeguard against sewage overflows.

These works, to be carried out by a Unitywater contractor, will commence in early June and continue for eight to 10 weeks. Once work is complete Unitywater will restore the affected areas.

Local residents may notice increased traffic and associated noise while these critical upgrades are undertaken and Unitywater apologises in advance for any inconvenience. Access for these works will be primarily via Pitt Road.

Most work will be conducted between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday, although Saturday works may also be scheduled if required to meet the project’s timelines.

Unitywater thanks customers for their patience and understanding as this essential program is conducted to protect the environment.

Customers should phone the Customer Service Centre on (07) 5431 8333 if they have any questions.
