To cater for future growth in the region, Unitywater will be upgrading the sewer network at Rothwell.
This scheduled works program involves the construction of a replacement sewer pumping main along Wattle Road from Morris Street to Oakmont Street.
These works, to be carried out by a Unitywater contractor, commenced on 23 May and will continue for eight to 12 weeks. Work will be conducted between the hours of 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday, with possible works on Saturday.
No sewerage network interruptions are expected. Local residents may notice increased traffic and associated noise as this critical upgrade is undertaken, however Unitywater will endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum. Access for these works will be primarily via Wattle Road.
