Commerce Caboolture President Michelle Lember has taken up the role as Chair of the Business Reference Group for Northeast Business Park (NEBP).
She replaces Joy Leishman who stepped down last week after three years in the position.
Ms Lember, a partner in Caboolture and Sunshine Coast legal practice Lember and Williams, said she was looking forward to her new role with NEBP.
“I’m a strong advocate of the project and what it can do to boost employment and provide opportunities for local businesses,” she said.
“I am looking forward to working with the group to help make this project a reality. The involvement of the business community is integral to that.”
NEBP CEO Jeff Smith said he and the board were pleased to welcome Ms Lember to the reference group.
“Ms Lember is a well-respected member of the business community who wants to see the Moreton Bay region prosper,” Mr Smith said.
“Given the current status of the project, the Chair position has been reviewed. Michelle will undertake the role in an honorary capacity providing a crucial link between the board and the local business community. Her leadership and local knowledge will be a great asset to the team.”
