We’ve Got It All!

The Moreton Bay region is coming of age and into the living rooms of South East Queensland.

We’ve Got It All with Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Allan Sutherland today launching the first stage of a multi-faceted campaign to boost the region’s tourism and business profile.

“We’ve Got It All in the Moreton Bay region for lifestyle, for business and for visitors – there’s a lot to celebrate,” Mayor Sutherland said.

“And it all begins with the launch of a two month television campaign on the Seven Network; it’s an open invitation to South East Queensland to take some time out and get to know the Moreton Bay region.

“This campaign will put a face and a personality to the region, and showcase our diversity and tourist attractions.

“We’ve Got It All and the best of both worlds –part of Greater Brisbane, but just far enough to escape, relax and unwind.”

Mayor Sutherland said the TV campaign would feature four separate commercials and introduce a new, easily identifiable brand and logo for the Moreton Bay region.

It comprises of 12 diamonds, united to reflect Moreton Bay Regional Council’s 12 divisions, with colours signifying the region’s diverse and vibrant landscapes, communities and cultures.

“One of the biggest challenges for the commercial’s production team at TPD was deciding what not to include. It really does demonstrate the wealth of attractions and natural beauty the Moreton Bay region has to offer,” the Mayor said.

Deputy Mayor and Division Three councillor, Greg Chippendale, thanked Regional Development Australia Moreton Bay for partnering with council to sharpen the business focus of the campaign’s second phase.

“With the assistance of RDA Moreton Bay we’ve also produced a comprehensive DVD aimed squarely at driving business investment in the Moreton Bay region,” Cr Chippendale said.

“There are 80,000 jobs in the region, yet 57 percent of our working population still commute to jobs elsewhere in South East Queensland, and that’s building road congestion.

“This DVD highlights not only lifestyle but our proximity to the CBD of the country’s third largest capital city, logistics infrastructure, Brisbane International Airport and the Australian Trade Coast.

“It will become a key tool in encouraging business investors to relocate and take advantage of the region’s supply of green-field production sites as well as its ready made workforce, without the big city overheads.

“We’re one of the fastest growing urban areas on the Australian continent and we’re open for business.”

Mayor Sutherland said the promotion of the Moreton Bay region as a tourist and business destination shifts up a gear from today.

“It’s the beginning of a new identity and an on-going promotional initiative that will ultimately encompass multiple media platforms,” the Mayor said.

“This is a young region, but a region of opportunity and it’s waiting for you to explore.

“We’re putting Queensland’s best kept secret on the map.”

The television commercials can be viewed on line from 4pm, June 2, 2011, at: www.visitmoretonbay.com.au
