Assault charge, Mango Hill


A man has been charged after an alleged incident at Mango Hill last night.


Shortly before 11pm police were called to the Bellongia Street address after reports of a disturbance.

Upon their arrival police located a woman who had allegedly been assaulted.  She was taken to the Redcliffe Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

A police dog squad team attended and PD Fox followed a track to a nearby bush area.  A man was found hiding in long grass and was subsequently arrested.

A 21-year-old Mango Hill man has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and obstruct police and is to appear at the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court today.
