Local resident and businesswoman, Kimberly James, will be announcing her intent to run for Division 3 (Caboolture and Morayfield) Moreton Bay Regional Council at the local government elections to be held on the 31st of March 2012.

Kimberly is passionate about the community where she and husband, Bernard has resided for the past 18 years. She is alarmed at the direction the communities of Caboolture and Morayfield have been heading since the local government amalgamation of 2008, and believes change is needed.
“The purpose of amalgamation was not for Caboolture and Morayfield to be left behind, but rather for these communities to extract economic advantages by being part of the MBRC while retaining the local sense of community long enjoyed by residents”. Kimberly and her supporters are concerned that the communities of Division 3 are suffering under the current arrangements, that the community is not being represented, as it should be.
Kimberly is eager to return strong leadership and representation to the community. “What we need is someone who is committed to acting in the best interests of the local communities of Caboolture and Morayfield, committed to leading us to economic and community prosperity. I believe I am that person”.
Kimberly is no stranger to the communities of Caboolture and Morayfield, having been involved in many organisations whose aim is to deliver local outcomes to local communities.
Kimberly James is committed to building strong and lasting relationships between all MBRC communities. Her vision for Division 3 is to provide a balance between retaining the unique character of the communities of Caboolture and Morayfield while extracting the economic and strategic advantages of being a part of the MBRC, as was intended by the 2008 local government amalgamation process.
Kimberley will be launching her campaign Thursday morning at Centenary Lakes from 7.30am over a bar-b-cue breakfast. All are welcome for an opportunity to meet with Kimberly James, candidate for Division 3 (Caboolture and Morayfield), Moreton Bay Regional Council.
