Free MBRC bike workshops

In two hours you can learn all about bike safety and maintenance for free.
Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Allan Sutherland said council was offering a series of community bike skills and maintenance workshops over the next four months.

“These free workshops, being held regionwide, will cover how to be a safer cyclist, what you can do to maintain your own bicycle and how to undertake minor repairs,” Mayor Sutherland said.

“The bikes and other necessary equipment will be provided. The workshops are open to all residents, but anyone under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.”

Mayor Sutherland said the workshops would be conducted on council’s behalf by award-winning bicycle education providers Bike On Australia.

Workshop locations are Bongaree, Burpengary, Caboolture, Morayfield, Woodford, Samford, Bunya, Albany Creek, North Lakes, Lawnton, Strathpine, Woody Point, Clontarf and Kallangur. To find out more about times and dates please see council’s website at www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au
