High range drink driving charge, Joyner

A 41-year-old woman has been charged with drink driving and had her car seized after allegedly recording a blood alcohol level of 0.313 per cent at Joyner earlier this evening.

Around 6.20pm, Petrie officers intercepted the woman driving a hatchback sedan at the intersection of Todds Road and Youngs Crossing Road after allegedly observing suspicious driving behaviour.

The 41-year-old has been charged with Type 2C drink driving (0.15 per cent and above), obstruct police and driving without a licence. She is due to appear before the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on December 5.

It will also be alleged this was the woman’s second Type 2C offence within a year and as a result her vehicle was seized and towed from the scene.
