Robbery of woman on scooter, Caboolture


Police are investigating a robbery at Caboolture this morning that left an 88-year-old woman riding a mobility scooter with several bruises and cuts. 

Around 8.20am, the Burpengary woman was riding a mobility scooter along a Crendon Street footpath when she was approached by a man who snatched her bag and pushed the scooter over. 

The man subsequently fled the scene on foot, while the woman was taken to Caboolture Base Hospital with several cuts and bruises. 

He is described as of Pacific Islander appearance, tall, solidly built, and having dark short curly hair.
