Police Cars Graffitied at Party, Eatons Hill


Six youths were arrested for obstructing police and public nuisance after a disturbance at a large party in Eatons Hill overnight. 

Police were called to a Montego Court residence around 9pm after reports of drunken behaviour and excessive noise.  

Upon arrival, police attempted to shut down the party which had around 400 youths in attendance.  

As police were directing people onto the street, a number of youths surrounded the parked police cars and police and allegedly sprayed graffiti on the police cars, and threw bottles and projectiles at the officers.  

Police were able to disperse the crowd after about an hour. 

Four police cars sustained damage during the incident. No-one was physically injured.  

An 18-year-old Lawnton man was charged with obstruct police and public nuisance, and will appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on February 28. 

The youths aged between 14 and 16 years will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.  

Investigations are continuing.
