Opinion By Darryn Robinson: We are now in what appears to be a full swing State Election Campaign, the chances of Anna Bligh going full term were remote at best due to the timing of the Council elections and now with the changes in the conservative side of politics the chance of Queenslanders heading to the polls prior to winter are a distinct possibility.

89 Seats make up the state Parliament with Labor currently holding 50. 34 with the LNP and 5 Independents or others (Burnett Gladstone Nanango  Nicklin).

So for the Opposition and “Can Do” Campbell to sweep to a workable Majority they will need to secure at least 10 seats but which will they be. Initial observations would indicate that there are 12 seats that could be won by the conservatives.

Ashgrove*Barron River*Brisbane Central*Broadwater*Burleigh*Chatsworth*Cook Everton*Mt Cootha* Mt Ommaney*Pumicestone * Southport.

Interestingly two of these seats, Pumicestone and Everton, are located in the Moreton Bay Region with Ashgrove just outside the southern border.

The only certainty, is this campaign will be entertaining and you will be kept up to date with all the latest with the team on 101.5fm.
