Be among the first to exhibit at Caboolture’s brand new gallery complex next year.
Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Deputy Mayor and Division Three Councillor Greg Chippendale said council was calling for expressions of interest from artists and community arts organisations wanting to show their works at the Caboolture Hub’s Community Access Gallery in Town Square .
“This is a golden opportunity for artists to be among the first to display their creations in our brand new visionary Caboolture Hub building,” Cr Chippendale said.
“Artists might like to consider the possibility of combining with other artists or artisans in groups and organisations to present an exhibition.”
The Deputy Mayor said council had information kits available which outlined guidelines and conditions to assist artists to present their works in the Community Access Gallery, which would be next door to the Hub’s Regional Art Gallery and the Caboolture Library.
“Applications for 2012 Community Access Gallery exhibitions close on July 15, 2011. The next application round will be open to artists in July 2012,” Cr Chippendale said.
“Because this is a brand new building and the first time we’ve called for expressions of interest from artists, we’re holding five information sessions for interested artists in June.”
The free sessions are at:
Woodford Community Arts Centre - 9am, Wednesday June 15
Applications and information kits are available to artists by calling Moreton Bay Regional Council on (07) 32 830 433. Information kits will be mailed or emailed.
Applications close COB Friday July 15, 2011.
