Assault, Mango Hill

Police are investigating an incident in which a 21-year-old North Lakes man was assaulted in Mango Hill yesterday.

Around 9.20pm the man was driving along Anzac Avenue when a red VE model Holden Commodore sedan approached from behind.

The vehicle activated red and blue flashing lights from its front grill and the North Lakes man pulled into a nearby car park.

A man from the commodore approached the driver’s window and allegedly punched the driver in the head several times before returning to his vehicle and driving off west along Anzac Avenue.

Police are looking for a man described as being of Caucasian appearance, 195cms with a large muscular build, short brown hair, aged in his mid 20s. At the time of the incident the man was wearing a black single with white writing on the front.

The 21-year-old sustained swelling and bruising to his face.
