Police are currently at the scene of a fatal house fire at Beerwah.
Initial information indicates police attended the home on Beerwah Parade around 4pm and spoke with a man.
An 11-year-old child was removed from the house by police before an explosion occurred inside the structure which was completely destroyed.
A crime scene has been declared and investigations are underway.
Police from the Ethical Standards Command will be investigating as police were present at the time.
