Leading economist Doug McTaggart will serve up insights into the global economy over breakfast at Murrumba Downs this October.
Mayor Allan Sutherland said Moreton Bay Regional Council was proud to offer the local business community access to Dr McTaggart at its latest Better Business Breakfast event on October 21.
“Dr McTaggart, who in early September announced his impending retirement as CEO of the QIC, has a wealth of experience in institutional investment,” Mayor Sutherland said.
“He has been Under Treasurer and Under Secretary of the Queensland Department of Treasury, he helped create Suncorp-Metway, he has been published extensively in economics journals and is the author of several economics textbooks.
“This means he is uniquely positioned to present a frank and entertaining picture of Australia’s current position in the global economy, an indication of where it is headed and what this means for Queensland and our region.”
Tickets to Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Better Business Breakfast are $35 each which includes a hot breakfast. The event, from 6.45am to 8am on Friday, October 21, is at Murrumba Downs Tavern, Dohles Rocks Road, Murrumba Downs.
