Moreton Bay Regional Council will conduct a bushfire hazard reduction burn at Elimbah from 9am today.
The controlled burn will be conducted on the eastern side of Old Gympie Road and Smiths Road between Timbergrove Road and Finn Court.
Asthmatics and residents susceptible to respiratory illness are advised to stay indoors, keep the windows and doors closed and block air vents. Use a filtered air conditioner to circulate air and keep medications nearby.
Residents experiencing breathing difficulties during the burns should call the Queensland Ambulance Service on triple zero (000).
