Moreton Bay Regional Council will reconstruct and improve Meldale Road and Way Street at Meldale following heavy rainfall earlier this year.
Division 1 councillor, Gary Parsons, said tenders had been let for work to be undertaken on the section of Meldale Road between Bullock Creek Road and Way Street.
"The $300,000 project, due to start in early December, will see the section of road widened from 5m to 7m while the existing pavement at Way Street will be resurfaced," Cr Parsons said.
“The road has experienced damage in the past due to heavy rainfall but the new work will make a significant improvement.
“My thanks to the residents of the area for their patience and council staff will continue to consult with them before works are undertaken and during the process.”
