Update: charges Kippa Ring incident

North Brisbane and Redcliffe detectives have charged a 28-year-old man with nine offences, including armed robbery, kidnapping and dangerous driving, following investigations into several incidents on Brisbane’s northside yesterday, including incidents at Deception Bay and Kippa Ring in which six police officers were injured. 

The Slacks Creek man will face Redcliffe Magistrates Court this morning charged with two counts each of armed robbery in company and serious assault; and one count each of kidnapping, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle while adversely affected, evade police; as well as two charges of shop stealing. 

A 28-year-old Mango Hill woman will also appear in court this morning charged with two counts each of armed robbery in company and serious assault and one of kidnapping. These charges, for both the man and woman, relate to alleged incidents at Springwood and Virginia yesterday in which an 18-year-old Runcorn man was robbed and assaulted. 

Police investigations are continuing.
