Meet the Candidates, Bribie Island
The Bribie Island Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a "Meet the Candidates" evening prior to the State Election.
This night will be an Open Forum for everyone in the community to attend. No RSVP is necessary.
It will be held on:
Wednesday 7th March
at the Bribie Island RSL Club, Toorbul St, Bongaree
6.30pm for a 7pm start

Child Abduction ALERT
Update: The Queensland Police Service has located the 8-year-old boy safe and well following an incident in which he went missing last night.
The boy was located at an Ashford, New South Wales address a short time ago.
Police investigations into this incident continue.
Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance.

The Queensland Police Service is seeking urgent public assistance to help locate an 8-year-old boy who was last seen at Pimpama yesterday.
The boy was located at an Ashford, New South Wales address a short time ago.

The Queensland Police Service is seeking urgent public assistance to help locate an 8-year-old boy who was last seen at Pimpama yesterday.
A man was seen with the boy in the cabin of a white Freightliner prime mover at around 8.00pm.
The truck is described as being a white prime mover without a trailer with Western Australian registration 1DEL 647 with a Jet Pilot sticker on the wind scoop and was last seen on the M1 motorway and was thought to be heading towards Warwick
The boy was last seen wearing blue shorts, a blue t-shirt, no shoes and has blonde shoulder length hair and proportionate build.

Rural Fire Brigades welcome new equipment
Several Brisbane Rural Fire Brigades will on Wednesday share in $21,000 worth of new equipment as a result of an ongoing partnership with the Queensland Rural Fire Service (QFRS) and Energex.
A total of 11 brigades will receive essential items such as transportable marquees, portable fridges, generators and lighting tower kits, eskies and portable pumps.
The brigades receiving equipment are Narangba, Elimbah, Villeneuve Neurum, Delaneys Creek, Samford, Mount Nebo, Hazeldean, Ocean View, Stoney Creek, Samsonvale and Macleay Island.
The handover is part of a $75,000 pledge by Energex to benefit 38 Rural Fire Service (RFS) brigades throughout Brisbane and the South East.
