Fatal traffic crash - Beerwah

Police are currently at the scene of a traffic crash in which a man has died near Beerwah.

Initial investigations indicated that shortly after 1pm two vehicles travelling on Steve Irwin Way collided head on.

One man has died.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Steve Irwin Way is currently closed near the crash site, approximately 2km south of Beerwah.  Traffic diversions are in place and the road is expected to remain closed for a few hours.
