People assume that our councillors, and council,
are the cornerstone of our community and are the grass roots link to local
government. We all deserve to have proper representation for our community .
Just not for some, but for everyone. Unfortunately, at present this appears to
be lost. It appears , that the main aim is to embarass or discredit any person
willing to put their hand up and have a go. If you don't fit the mould or
dare to ask questions when something doesn't appear right , you must go. The
council election, coming up early next year, must not be decided by who has the
most money or most powerful backers, but by us, the people that live and breath
our daily lives in our community. People power will decide. Rodney Hansen.
