Police are investigating a boat
crash on waters near Bribie Island this afternoon that resulted in a girl in
her early 20’s being hospitalised.
Initial information suggests
between 5 and 5.30pm, the girl was one of four people travelling in a boat near
Sylvan Beach when it has collided with a pylon.
The girl sustained non-serious injuries as a result of the crash and has since been transported to
hospital.
None of the boat’s other
occupants required further medical treatment, including the 53-year-old male
driver.
The vessel has been seized by
police as part of the investigations. Initial inquiries suggest alcohol was not
a factor.
